Interesting series that is on NBC Monday nights at 8pm


Heroes is a serial saga about people all over the world discovering that they have superpowers and trying to deal with how this change affects their lives. The relatable superheroes include Peter Petrelli, a 30-year-old male nurse who believes can fly, Diego Medina, a 28-year-old junkie who has the ability to paint images of the future when he is high, Niki Sanders, a 33-year-old Las Vegas showgirl who can do incredible things with mirrors, Hiro Makamura, a 24-year-old Japanese comic-book geek who literally makes time stand still, D.L. Hawkins, a 31-year-old inmate who can transport himself through walls, Matt Parkman, a beat cop who can hears other people's thoughts, and Claire Bennet, 17-year-old cheerleader who defies death at every turn. Not only are they discovering what having superpowers means to them but also the larger picture of where their superpowers come from. Eventually their superpowers draw them together when they try to evade the series' antagonist who wants to harness their super-DNA for himself. Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world. The series will star Greg Grunberg (Alias), Leonard Roberts (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Milo Ventimiglia (Gilmore Girls), and Hayden Panettiere (Ally McBeal, Guiding Light). Tim Kring (Crossing Jordan, Chicago Hope) is the series' creator. The pilot is set to be directed by Dave Semel (American Dreams, Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, Beverly Hills, 90210). Heroes will be produced by NBC/Universal/Tailwind.the first 4 eps have come and gone but you can download them to catch up.

When the sho first starteed Hiro was the one that has kept me interested. I had to rail up when i saw Hiro... This nerdy guy seems to have fallen into his own. To think he is capable to stop time arounda particulr person is just MADNESSS!!! I just HATE the amount of effort he has to put out to actually bend the space time continium. I guess that is because he is still learning... oh well.
Who i really think is interestign so far is Claire, Micah (young GENIOUS making a logic board at what 6-8 yrs old?!?!?!), Hiro and the painter dude Issac??..... maybe Nikki just a little bit.

Who i really want to know about is Syler?!?!? what is his true agenda? What are they really going to do with the policeman. What is this non-initial 'organization' really about are they the good guys or the bad guys? It seems liek Peter is going to get a rhattid scar later on... I bet from trying to fly initially. Questions, questions, questions..........

I'm not into spoilers to tuff... to me it'll take away from the show the surprise and suspense will end up being for naught.

Syler isn't the black dude, recall that the telepathic cop and the FBI agent did fight him and he got away, I will say that he has all the other powers of the others, but I don't think he's the black dude

DL has the ability to walk through objects, that is how he escaped from his hand cuffs during an interrogation and how he escaped from prison after his conviction.

Don't confuse DL with the Mysterious Guy that works with Claire's father (Horned Rim Glasses wearing guy) as they are two seperate characters. As the Mysterious Guy has the ability to mess with your mind, hence stopping your from using you abilities.

Myyute yuh fren should not have had o tell u that. This 7yo was BUILDING a LOGIC BOARD... IMO this week's epi was a bit too slow.. I didnt pay much attention to it. But the next one should be good.

But since this one was so blah... I dont know if they gonna eff up the next one.

I liked this episode...lots of movement in the story, a new hero is shown, Hiro is still the boss and an excelllent set up for next week

I'm kinda interested in the kid that thinks he can fly and see the future.. cause i know he has rogue (xmen) like abilities but his is just by being around the people. so i'm trying to figure out if he's around 4 heroes does he gain the use of all 4 of their powers and i realize it doesn't fade away immediately. because he drew the future wayyyy after meating the painte.

You really dont know the joy a PVR/ Tivo can give you. It changes ur WHOLE TV experience. You''ll never watch TV the same... ask Anyone who has Tivo or something like it.

If Peter UNDERSTOOD more about his powers that would be true.... but remember this; he (Peter) never moved at all UNTIL Claire came to see if he was okay. At that time he took a gasp of air like he just woke up. So i think he has to be in CLOSE proximity of the individual to really mimic them powers.

Next week should be interesting though.... we get to meet Sylar face to face

I think Claire took a long time... because it was her BRAIN that was impaled. As soon as the stick was removed and brain healed she was good to go. As Suresh was saying in the first episode it's all about the brain activity that man only uses about 10% of his brain. The Human Genome Project, which has to do with genes in the human body, all have some relation to the brain and the thousands of genes we still know nothing about.

I accept when i wrong....in reference to ur comment about Peter drawing himself and nathan on the roof. I'll still hold it to what i'm saying though that it is a proximity thing.

Ohhh I forgot... I dont think it was really the Hatian 'voodoo' that had that much affect on Sylar. I think it was the black hair chick that did him in.... she and her 'words' of persuasion THEN hatian came in after the damage had been done. If u look at it again u'll notice Sylar was about to hurt the girl but as he put up his hands he said
'You don't want to hurt me' as she said that he took back his hands in what it seemed like a surprised state. Then she said
'But first go to sleep... You need to sleep' Then the Hatian guy came grabed him and he basically just dropped.
Granted just my thoughts....

About Peter and his mimic power, remember Peter had been very close to Claire after she had used her powers, as well as with Sylar while he too used his, we know they both have the power to regenerate.

Now get this, when Peter and Sylar both fell from the ledge, Sylar regenerated and got up, so then Peter would have been mimicking Sylar's powers and not Claire's at that time.

Peter reminds me of one of my favorite X-Men characters, see who (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishop_(comics)#Powers_and_abilities) and who (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue_(comics)#Mutant_powers)

Well we got to meet Sylar, face-to-face I think not, his face is always shadowed.

What I really expected was a real face off when Peter and Sylar met, with Sylar using his powers on Peter I wanted him to get an unexpected defense by Peter using Sylar's powers to fight him.

About Peter and his mimic power, remember Peter had been very close to Claire after she had used her powers, as well as with Sylar while he too used his, we know they both have the power to regenerate.

Now get this, when Peter and Sylar both fell from the ledge, Sylar regenerated and got up, so then Peter would have been mimicking Sylar's powers and not Claire's at that time.

niki did double cross dl simply out of fear, fear that jessica create within her by saying that if dl found out about her "secret" then he'll take his son, which is simply exactly what happened. So basically as long as jessica can use fear to control niki, niki has no control

Last nights episode was my favourite for so many reasons and I think I can add my speculation to what might happen in future episodes.

First someone is ganna die as they said at the end right ( I think at the hand of sylar)? Who do I think can or cannot die.

Niki – dead and come back already
The Haitian dude – he is black and Sylar hates his ass now I took him out of the deadable section at the last minute when I found out that his story will be explained later in the series. ( link to interview below)

Now unto the speculation

I see great things in the future from Micah because of many reasons. Both his parents has powers, he has similar characteristics to sylar (senses and fixes broken stuff and a mechanical/engineering mind) and then some (smart as hell and I think there is more to him that just what is shown so he has great potential), he has no real purpose so far and many people are underestimating the lil bi-racial kid.

Well we know Peter has some insight on the present as well as his ability to mimic powers. He can apparently communicate through his vivid dreams, we saw this when he flew with Simone Deveaux's father before he died and another when he was flying in his dreams.

Sylar obviously has an initial power, he demonstrated it when he was able to tell that the Suresh's watch was broken and 2 seconds out again when he saw that his first victim was also "broken".

Nikki, has an alternate personality Jessica, and now know that Nikki also had a sister Jessica who died. However we don't know if the alternate personality is Jessica as in the sister, or the alt. personality just calls herself that. But her ability is only present when Jessica surfaces.

Hiro, goes back and forth in time for Charlie, but we now know he can't change what will happen...or can he. Remember Charlie's co-worker saying that Hiro disappeared on Charlie 6 months ago, bet she didn't know that was meant literally *smile* Point is that is exactly what happened.

Nathan, we can see why he denied his ability.

Mr. Bennett, what is his angle on this really, apparently he found out about the evolution before he met Suresh, and recruiting new Evo-beings (new word).

Sylar always had abilites but he never really took it for anything. Like igodit said he was able to tell the Mohinders watch was off by 2sec as soon as he walked in the door. Which NORMAL being you know can do that $h|t???

... because it was her BRAIN that was impaled. As soon as the stick was removed and the brain healed itself she was good to go...... The Human Genome Project, which has to do with genes in the human body, all have some relation to the brain......

We finally hear from the horses mouth that it is the brain the controls EVERYTHING .... They show us that Sylars has ability to notice pickup the smallest of details..... it seems like he examines the brain and finds out what is 'wrong' and mimics it himself.Hence the reason why he has so many abilities :rolleyes:

Sylar only kills cuz I thinks he wants all the power to himself, and to do so he needs to first examine that persons brain, once he does that he basically gains that power

Well that is the norm, alot of things start out strong Naruto is one of the latest casualties of such .... so u enjoy it while u can. Just like u enjoyed Lost. It may be different.... Look at 24.... 5 seasons and it still moving STRONG!!! So it may be just one of those exceptions

yeah I feel that going to happen, I also have a feeling that them using season 1 to introduce characters, 2 to stop sylar and 3 to stop human nuclear from blowing up

The hatian is a badass I can bet and has instantly catapulted himself to one of my favourites...while Nathan, the police dude and the cheerleader remain my least favourites (I still think the cheerleader should have died, though she technically cant die)

I think Haitian works for even a greater power than H.R.G (Mr. Bennett). IMHO Haitian wants Claire to have an idea of what is transpiring... maybe what her father is really doing/trying to do; he seems like he's even tired of wiping memories to some extent. Well to me, it seems like Hiro might probably lose control over his powers and end up way way in the past. Remember that Isaac's paintings are literal and we've already seen most of them come true (exception being Claire dead... or is it?) so who's to say he won't fight a T-rex? They might not show it, but meh... we'll see.

Claude's mentoring of Peter leads Peter to question those closest to him. Claire goes to a trailer park looking for her birth mother. Sylar wears a disguise and makes a move against HRG.

I sense someone elses demise by the hand of Sylar, could be HRG (i wish)? his wife? or that annoying dog!...I don't know or dont care what he kills I want more Sylar action!!!!!

...And before u start with the weird looks, jus think bout it, it's another possibility. Everything always comes back to this guy.. and the way how the promo make it sound, we know he's gonna be bad news. Just somethin that occurred to me.

I think on the next episode of HEROES it will be revealed that Claire's "step dad" is actually her real father. HRG mentioned that he and his wife were having difficulties conceiving a child, this probably put a strain on their relationship which drove HRG into seeking comfort in the arms of another woman (Claire's mother) or maybe HRG was just horny and she was hot. However they got together, the whole adoption story is just a cover for the affair, and with the haitian around to snip a few memories here and a few memories there, HRG's wife would never be able to uncover the truth and if she did remember that she did for very long.

the only thing that would wow me if it's the Haitian thats her dad :D

With what we are learning about Peter adds a WHOLE new twist to the game. Before we are all speculating about Peter in that we kkind of though that he had to be AROUND the person to use their power. Now we know for sure he doesn't need to.... he just needs to REMEMBER each power!!!
I think there shall be a sweet battle between Peter and Sylar... the main difference, so far that is, is that Sylar KNOWS how to use the various powers.
Come to think about it.... what is the difference between Sylar and Peter? Does Sylar REALLY need to examine the inner workings of the brain?

P.S. I have to agree wth DK... Claire does look decent. She seems alot more mature in this season then she did before.
