Whos your fav?

Hard rock is all i have been listening to of lately along with a few others world music but rock is my soul......i could never go wrong with evanesence, linkin park, disturb (these guys are crazy) ahhh metallica (well i only love one of their songs called Unforgiven 2) Seether seems to be a good band,,, Shotdown who's hit to me is "45" is rocking. A perfect circle is pretty good, Mudvayne is good....System of a down is off the hizzle. I discovered Breaking Benjamin who had a hit to me called Cold and a next song DK told me to listen to called Blown away.

Whoa warchief i didnt know...kool-ness yea i love evanescence, linkinpark and distured[totally need to get their newset Cd tho] i think ive heard a song from metallica ...ive heard a song from seether i love it havent heard anything else i love green day, yellowcard,simple plan, good charollettes, um MCR[my Chemical romance] um...there's more but i cant remember right now...

can't decide between almost almost the bands i listen

Institute [ former lead signer of bush gavin rusdale hits up new group which is hard as steel ], Linkin park, Evanesence, Three Days Grace, Stained, incubus, 3 doors down, papa roach [ old stuff though not new ]. many more as well. But right now if i should chose one It would be linkin park, I mean they got the most tracks out that i love. And its not always the same old ish over and over again.

Linkin Park and i like Simple Plan, Bowling for Soup, Green Day but LP gets my 10/10

omfg. I love avril. I fogot about here, her last album had me going balistic. I got a friend when ever she's in the island and were' driving around Avrils in the cd player blasting. Always.

Avril is cool but shes kinda young, i prefer older women so definately Alanis Morissette oh yeah man coldplay wicked, and cold, seether, SOAD, 3 doors down!

i never said heavy metal...i was just talking about heavier rock than what i've seen so far, it's been mostly light with the heaviest being some Linkin Park

head automatica is a lighter band that makes heavy use of their drummer, i would compare the vocalist somewhat like certain cky songs and MCR

Element Eighty had a song on the nfsu sound track...Broken Promises, if you've played the game you will remember it, i can't explain this band that easily so go "buy" *cough*download*cough* some albums

Hmm listen to all you all have mentioned so far including also, Carbon leaf, HIM, Bleed the dream was it..., Within temptation ( I highly recomend "Jillian" From these guys), Let's see also a few Japanese rock bands that I can't remember the names. Bah must check when I get home.
But for the most part I don't even really take note or even care about the band names I just listen to the song. Still don't know who sings most of the songs one my comp. Oh yes must remember "The calling" Though I only got two sings from em bullet for my Valentine.
The really really heavy stuff like the last mention here, I don't so much listen to the lyrics cause well they shout quiet often but you have to admit these guys tend to have excellent rythm.
As for a favorite from all of these... I've tried and can't pick one.

Well, i must say lately i find myself listeningto linkin park, been listening to evanesence and i like my chemical romance alot and i can't leave out metalicaand fall out boy beem doing something good. all geeks but very versitile with there words in the songs.

@omega - the lyrics for heavier songs are kinda harder to understand...it's either A) there was no original intent behind the lyrics, just people randomly spitting words or B) you have to understand where the band is coming from and listen to the lyrics deeply and going off of more the unsaid words rather than literal

Yes i agree with ^ most songs are good 2 me because they dont blurt out the message, u have 2 listen in 2 understand. thats why i rate Disturbed, korn, slipknot and dem ppl dere, looking for more heavy people so u can help me out thelokat. i also listen 2 AFI on occasion

i have never listened to an AFI song and i refuse for no good reason, lol

but yeah lex if you go a page back i took a screenshot of my rock albums (some of them are more than one albums under just the band name)

trying to build back my collection, list out your fave bands lex (please don't let this be a mainstream letdown)

p.s. i also listen to a lot of lighter bands as well, just not as often, a lil linkin park or trapt or 3 doors down is good for the ears

And why would I want to care? lol joking, my collection is not too extensive at the moment because I had to stop downloading music. Hard drive was too full but I should have around 60 good songs. I'll see what I can work out and let you know.

Hey hey that's only in the Heavy metal section. I got 200+ rock, and well all the music comes up to 10+ GB that is still small but no pointing and laughing or you'll lose the finger.
Anyway I have some form "Bleed the Dream" and "Bullet for my valentine" want any of those?

Oh yeah I don't think I saw them mentioned here by SR-71 is a great band and Sum 41.
for SR-71 I recommend "My World", "Goodbye" and "Tomorrow"

i heard bullet for my valentine is good...then again that was from someone who listened primarily to emo...new bands(for me) that i think are ok

bush - pretty decent band
breaking benjamin - nothing to write home about...kinda suck actually
sepultura - just go em yesterday, decent so far, kinda heavy
rob zombie - he's always been the big man but i got a new album yesterday, "educated horses", renewed my faith in him
demon hunter - again just a semi-generic band, but they still sound quite fine

current faves are nickel back, 3 doors down and trapt
