I haven't seen episode 54 as yet but I heard ichigo did bankai and sitll has zangetsu in soul release mode 1.. Isn't that logically wrong. Bankai is second stage soul release for zangetsu.. or any other soulslayer isn't it.. So how can he be in bankai mode [ costume change ] and not have second stage zangetsu [ Tensa Zangetsu ]:eusa_snoo

I don't recall Ichigo using his bankai in ep 54, does neone else recall that

Nope the guy didn't have a clue i guess. I watched it last night and realize he had no idea what he was talking about. He saw ichigo in the bandages and the cape [ new costume ] and thought that was his bankai. Don't understand why he would think that as the zanpakutou didn't change which is like what the bankai is right.. beats me :dunno.
