I'm an AMD person. But If you're going for performance, and have 250$. I would think Core duo 2 would be the way to go.

You can get a mobo and CPU for around that.

Dont u think i know that core 2 is the way tuh go but a core 2 cant go on a socket 939 now einstein i would have tuh rebuild my pc which i plan tuh do or keep my money for my ride. but im selling my x2 4600+ plus it hasnt been used all now it just there sittin down on my desk chilling. i have sold my pc out tuh my mom business. suh yeah nebody for takes. FOR SALE FOR 21,000 dollars

As for you having to Rebuild 'YOUR WHOLE' machine, you wouldnt, just the core components, hence my saying.....

Ok we are not in America and unfortunately in JA and the product was purchased in America. Dude 20,000 -21,000 cums with tax and shipping from stores like tigerdirect and other taxable sites/stores and a lil profit. Suh wat are u bickering about, if u wouldnt buy it from me o well.
And AGAIN nobody said AMD was better than Core 2, my laptops a C2D and its the shit. WE ALL KNOW CORE 2 is the shitttt. and im both Intel and AMD whoever performs better just performs better. Technology is meant to be developed on suh AMD and Intel will be in the lead on there on terms of improving on each others acheivment, Just like nvidia and ATI.
