Plot / Synopsis: In 1984, the Transformers brand took the world by storm with its compelling saga of the "Robots in Disguise," and quickly became a childhood rite of passage with a tremendously successful toy line from Hasbro and Takara, comic book series, television program and animated feature film. Twenty years later, a new generation of kids has discovered the excitement of the Transformers brand and the legendary characters, such as Optimus Prime and Megatron, that truly are "more than meets the eye." Today, the franchise features a popular toy line, an animated series on Cartoon Network and a chart-topping comic book series from Dreamwave Productions, which sold two million Transformers comic books last year.

I not too long ago saw the full length trailer for this movie and from what i see this movie looks like its gonna rock. The visual effects are looking really good and for the short instant that i saw Octimus Prime, the character layout an structure look hard. Hope this movie lives up to the hype and doesnt fail us like most movies that blow us away with trailers and when it comes directly to the movie it sucks. Well check out the trailer 4 your self and let mi know what u think.

On May 30, 2007, Dreamworks greenlit two sequels to Transformers,[90] and Shia LaBeouf,[91] Megan Fox[92] and Peter Cullen[39] signed on to return. Michael Bay has not signed, saying "I'm trying to keep some leverage for the negotiations."[39] Writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman are undecided but may not return because "we want to have a reason to do it, not just say, 'it’s a business, it’s a franchise, we’re going to go do the second one because that’s what we do and we’re going to get the big money,' and Star Trek by the way is taking up kind of all of our time."[33]

Soundwave is intended to be a new major character in the sequels,[8] with his presence allowing a proper introduction of mass-shifting.[6] Producer Tom DeSanto has "a very cool idea on how to introduce the Dinobots and Constructicons."[93] If he decides to helm a sequel, Bay may put in an aircraft carrier character, an idea that was too expensive for the first film.[94]

@ Shini i think who u talking about is Star Scream more or less Megatron right hand parri.

Yeah its like that every night because of TRANSFORMERS

I think TRANSFORMERS is the best movie from the Year start.. even though Harry Potter might give it a run for its money..

People was going crazy inside of the theater when the movie was going on.. to tell the truth i did really enjoy the movie as much as i could because there was a little boy beside me..eveything a TRANSFORMER come on the screen him say " Optimus Prime" very loud .. is was very disturbing for me..

Otherwise is was a wonder movie.. i have to get them alot of credit for the detail they put in to this movie..

one question...were all the autobots usually lame and not be able to take down a single decepticon? i used to watch, but i think they could help themselves. outside of Optimus only bare prettiness and tough talking.

not trying to take anything from the movie still...it was good

In all honestly i dont think it was much different from the cartoon in that regard. Optimus was always the saviour of the day.. as a matter of fact bumble bee was too kick ass in this movie. in the cartoon all he used to do is run. put the boy and the girl in the car and drive as fast as he could to get away. he could have a sub movie .. see bumble bee drive.

Ii mean take a look at the auto bots to the decepticons in size.. you notice that they're all tiny except for optimus prime.

but in di cartoon, nobody (decepticon or autobot) really died so easily and for megatron to be killed by shia (dat really spoil di movie for me). but other than that di movie did wicked **two thumbs up**

death_knight
08-03-2007, 03:58 PM
for that same reason that you disliked it i liked it. in the cartoon they were afraid to kill people.. in the movie they showed a more human side the bots or a more sentient being sos to speak. they aren't unable to die. so they killed off a few people

starscream is still at large and i know that megatron isn't dead. and that little annoying deception.. (radio / cellphone) he's still alive i just feel it.

Transformers part two should be very interesting. They might introduce more of the autobots from the old days cartoons. I"m sure they could still be out there somewhere as well as more deceptions.

there's a part two

i hope they show optimus' super mode, cause i was saugt of hoping for it in this movie

yea i realize that star scream just disappear without dying that is. shia killing Megatron was the lamest thing in the show...that plus the whole little sentimental crap with the girl. and the idiot sector 7 guy, just fool up the whole thing. not to mention the idiot on the bike and tyrese...and yeah the chick lame bout she not leaving bumble bee. how dare they put that girly crap in the greatest show of the year... and a tell the sector 7 man say him must take off him clothes cause him threaten her father..how lame.

thanks to Optimus and company, and Megatron and him little drone what run round the place a reek havoc, the show was a success. if only they could take also those useless characters out of the show like that black dude who play the gay role in scary movie 4 and the chick him was rolling with. if only there were just the robots

Your not a real transformer fan are you.. This kid has roots he was in the cartoon. He was bumblebee's best friend. In every transformers I've seen with the exception of beast wars. prime's team always have close contact with some human group.

henderson
08-04-2007, 12:10 PM
is shia him talking?? shia had to be there..i not so sure bout all the other waste characters though

Shini
08-04-2007, 12:31 PM
Yea, true, Shia alone coulda stayed... but wasnt there always a girl in it too, as well as the boy's father?

But it seriously needed more robot time and cut out more of the human factor.

I was kinda pissed I didnt get to hear the transforming sound effect every time they transformed.
That sound is a huge part of the movie.

I liked the Music Track though.

my apologies i thought you were referring to shai. well.. the movie needed comic relief to appeal to others out of the scoop of enjoying cartoons etc.. they needed something that the general public that never saw transformers before in their life could say well at least i laughed a bit or something to that effect. I'm sure film producers must keep this into perspective when making films. I mean they got their box office funds to protect

henderson

nonsense..
re-read my post above.. and think about it

movie producers have to ensure they're flick sells right. Therefore they try to cater for everyone right. So basically the funny flick lovers get their jokes.. the action buffs get their action and the romancce people get their romance.

The problem with movies like these are that they cannot appease everyone. I think they did okay though, I enjoyed the movie.

Like Henderson said though... sector 7 guy... WASTE!!!!! When I first saw him I was like huh?? If they were looking for comic relief I think that guy killed it. THAT was the only real part of the movie i never liked.

I think I read the sequel should be out in like 2009.

henderson
08-06-2007, 04:42 PM
if u going for comic relief, do better. the show was good but some things just unnecessary. i never even knew that Anthony or whatever his name is was in the movie based off trailers and thing.
