Okay.. this trading day has gotta go right. Here's what we need

Venue: Who's house are we gonna get this time.
Organization of trrading: method to get most trading possible done in the alloted time.
Burners: How many burners will be present.

A few observations i've made at previous trading days people come and want to do absolutely nothing but play video games or just sit around and at the end of the day they complain "i got no anime".

death_knight has a plan :).

there will be specified people to burn. a list of the anime that people want/need must be presented or your gonna be screwed.

so lets do a theoretical example

3 people want the following anime

person a's list: zegapain, death note, innocent venus, witch blade, kiba

persosn b's list: naruto, bleach, death note, kiba, macross plus

person c's list: death note, zega, pain kiba, macross plus, demon bane, afro samurai

now.. i'm sure you all did math.. from that set you would select A union B union C which results to

death note and kiba. This would be the first to burn which would satisfy 3 people from one set of burning (read once burn many).

the second set of things to burn would be either A union B or A union C or B union C. which would result in varoius combinations. however as you can see more than one people get anime from one set of burning. which cuts the time alot because reading the cd to make an image for burning takes time.. we save time by making multiple copies from one image.


The food.: the last time we just had junk and we went to tgif after. that is an option, we could get catered food, that is also another option. Suggestions welcome on the part of food.


The Venue: I have absolutely no idea where to keep trading day 5.0. last time we were able to use Blindz's house i appreciate it and thank him very much. the previous trading days all took place at a past member's house i'm not certain if that is still possible. Suggestions are welcome.

Sponsors: I would love if the event could be sponsored.. If any body has a clue of a possible sponsor maybe a personal link with a gaming store or a dvd rental store (that has an anime section of course) please feel free to contact me via pm or email. I'ld be willing to put up a banner at the event so the sponsor would be featured in the pictures that will be up in the gallery of the event..

aight I prep & ready 4 TDay5 hopefully I don't have ne skool work to do. Personally I say that we decide on the date first then we try & then decide where we keeping it

the date will be nearing the end of march or the begining of april. That region is ideal for our quaterly event plan where trading day is concerned. it will undoubtedly be on a saturday the only exception would be to keep it on the first firday in april which i believe will be good friday. april 6, 2007. that is an option.. any other way its gonna be a saturday.

DK I had that plan initially but ppl just do wat they do best ignored my suggestions. Wat about Greed's place?

btw any have a hardware setup for vid capture with audio?

i got a few vhs tapes @ home and my machine... tho kick ass dual core blah blah... is gamer type rig. not really geared for media... i could add in parts to do it no prob, but if sum1 else got hardware set for the above mentioned that might be easier overall...

seeing that its gonna be in march/april that gives me ample time to stock up on some new anime.trust mi,next trading day im coming loaded.

spadez please ensure you submit a list of what you have. then review everybody else's list so you can see what you want. then you submit a excel file of the stuff you want. the team willt hen review that along with everybody else's "want list" and then decide on the order to burn the anime's and how much of each episodes wil be burnt.

Yeah march/april....kool I really want to attend this trading day to see what you people have in your collection on all....and to get to know some of the people on the site...

I'll be there, and i'll be stocking up on Anime, since my last Hard Drive failed i've been out of it. But where do i submit my list of requests and have you decided on the day your going to do this...

So far I've got Linkin (punishment for his last selfish act), Myself, Blindz.. reason its so small i dont think i see more than 3 computers at ne one location we end up.

your confused.. the proposed date is in march or april leaning to april because it has easter.. :D.. there is also no anime trading day 5 we merging the .5 with 5 which rounds off to 6 PURE HYPE.. unuh better make this shit happen properly... no screw ups.. where are your anime list i dont see nothing.. keep being assholes this time you have no one to blame but your selfs.. and obvously this is to who will come.. i really cant be bothered with the "yeah man i forwarding people" only to get a phone call at the last minute saying i wont be attending. fricking anime posers

Last time there was some trading, for those who had their own laptop and those who sat themselves at the burner.

I"m talking about every body.. I wasn't being vindictive of any particular member at all. you weren't the only one saying you didn't get anything burnt.. i just wanna ensure evrything runs smoothly this time.

Ok, cause I was feeling guilty as hell, cause I know Im still pissed bout what happened.
But I can get things on me own... so I doubt I gonna be asking for anything.. if anything is unnu a go have to fight over who gets my stuff.

Oh and make sure someone monitors where all dvds are and who they belong to. I no want to lose my stuff at all... cause some things took WEEKS for me to download!!!! But then Ill probably only allow only 1 dvd out at a time. :p

shini. if you look at it that way you killing trading day an old wise one said this a few weeks ago the lowered cost in highspeed internet has killed a great event. trading day will never be the same again he said.. and i guess i totally understand what he's saying.. your comment proves that fact.

if you guys just reveiw each others anime list and select what you want. the upload a want list.. i can go through and consolodate the burning of the anime for people. it snot that difficult. please just follow my plan i know it can work.

And FYI!!!!! how the hell we suppose to get animes to distribute if we stopped downloading new ones and we all depended on each other to get the animes from.

Eventually everyone will just have the same thing and new ones will not be able to be gotten!!!!

realize most of my stuff is on vhs so once again i checking if any 1 has a sytem or rig geared to media, since my system is really gaming oriented and no vid capture hardware on it...
