Halo 3 Coming September 25th

In a year when Hollywood is launching its biggest blockbusters ever, a video game is set to conquer them all. Halo 3, the final chapter in the groundbreaking Halo trilogy, is set to shatter day-one entertainment sales records when it is released worldwide beginning Tuesday, Sept. 25. Created by legendary developer Bungie Studios and exclusive to the Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system, Halo 3 will set a new standard for interactive storytelling and social gaming by engaging consumers worldwide in Master Chief's epic battle to save humankind. Halo 3 will be available to audiences around the world starting Sept. 25 and will release in Europe on Sept. 26.

"Halo 3 is much more than a video game release; it's the biggest entertainment event of the year," said Peter Moore, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business. "On Sept. 25, we intend to deliver a finale that will go down in entertainment history and leave people around the world with an experience that will be shared and enjoyed for years to come."

Fueling the early buzz around Halo 3, Microsoft unveiled the multiplayer beta on the eve of its release at a star-studded event in Hollywood. Beginning tomorrow, May 16, Microsoft Game Studios will kick off the Halo 3 multiplayer beta, which provides audiences worldwide with an exclusive, early look at some of the multiplayer elements of Halo 3 on Xbox LIVE®. Adding to the excitement, Microsoft is also announcing a special edition Zune(TM) digital media player inspired by the hugely successful Halo franchise. On shelves next month, the Zune-Halo 3 edition comes loaded with a collection of Halo content, including videos, soundtracks, trailers, ads and artwork.

ok so i feel ur pain but in all honesty the only thing tht dissappointed me in Halo 2 was tht the ending was a bit cut and dry. also as far as i played through and saw there was no special ending for beating the game on legendary.

yeah.. but if you own a modified xbox then you gots no problems.. bwoy my world is gonna be thrown upside down when this game comes out. technically every weekend me, killasirrom and 2 other friends play halo. every single weekend (i still have yet to win a match) they got too much skilluism.

the graphics whore have already started bitching about the graphics in Halo 3. Saying that Gear of War looks better and rae rae

but infidel.. i believe them. it is true.. you see gears of war.. i dont know how them do it. that is honestly the closest we have seen to next gen graphics to date i dont understand what the hold up is.. they have the technology to power the graphics but not utilizing it. I'm not a graphic whore but fair is fair you paid for the capability you should get it

who made gears of wars was it MS? is so that might have something to do with it...its all about the development teams skill...its going to take them a good while to unlock the full potential of the systems probably around the same times as when the companies are coming out with there new hardware lol

I am no Halo fan but sometimes I think too much emphasis is put on graphics, plus Halo is still in Beta, although I doubt much more will/can be done to upgrade the graphics before September 23.

I am a big Gears of War Junkie and Hands down no questions asked GOW is a better multiplayer experience than Halo

hmm.. you just haven't met the right halo players as yet :rofl. Gears is good but it requires multiple xbox's and screens to run a proper multiplayer match

Gears of war was created by epic. GRAW also looks beautiful. i cant wait to see both on the hdtv on trading day

well now that Halo 3's out maybe we should revive this... First of all I don't got a 360 but my friend got it launch day. Its multiplayer is almost too customizable.... resulting in some hilarious matches, I especiall liked batting ppl around with the gravity hammer.

The campaign is pretty good on this, especially doing it 4 player co-op. The skulls can make for some interesting run throughs

gears of wars looks very pretty because a lot is not goin on , on the screen. in gears its u and a teamate fightin like 5 guys in area then u move to another area and do the same thing. in halo u have a lot of things goin on like u have a lot of good guys goin up against a lot of bad guys, warthogs drivin around, planes flyin in the air, explosion. plus u have different type of enimies fightin at the same time so each type has there own AI routine they have to follow causin the xbox to do a lot of calculations.

I got my first taste of halo 3 the final release this weekend. not much improved from the beta.. But its great. Really fun. The online play is superb.. love the games.. capture the flag.. n territory and especially vip.. good stuff. but nothing beats teams (kill other team)

I been draining it all weekend in 42" plasma goodness with 15 other people ^_^

4 teams of 4 in team slayer or 2 teams of 8 in capture the flag and is pure chaos!!!!

Yeeaaah man. that was extremely surprising.. super short but as usual with halo multiplayer gets the focus cause they (game developers know) thats whats gonna take this game to the top.

The co-op ingame is great as well. also nice lil stuff like get skullls and upgrade your armor.. A friend of mine has a armor where his head looks like a gundam.. I kid u not..

The only reason i would get a 360 is for this game... All my family in JA have it, so the online is sick when ever i get my hands on a 360 with halo 3... But its so much of us some times we on different teams and we cant talk to each other (only like for a second sometimes... some wierd feature)... If in deathmatch u can hear everyone that would be sick (not sure if its like that)...

But i really dont want to buy a 360... Its just poorly built, i swear everyone i know with a 360 has bought 2 already!!! My friend broke his halo 3 the first day he got it... He was pluggin in his controller charger and he slightly tilted it and it ****ed that shit up lol Its not as bad as other scatches ive seen the lazer cause but it dont work... Nobody even knows what color the lights on a ps3 turn when its broken... Everyone in the world knows about the 3 rings of death lol

But shit playin my family in JA + most of my friends is too tempting!!!! Anyone else want to add there halo profiles to the list.. Synergy halo 3 link up!!!!!

it's definitely in the top 3 in terms on online experience

by far the most fun online game i played. what is extremely fun is waiting in the lobby.. i know it sound odd but seriously them people be crazy man.. talking random shit while they wait.. people be singing nsync while pusting a cap in your ass. or gutting u with the sword... halo is a war game like non other.

I tried to play this game, murdered without prejudice is wat I got, but its still uber fun, I think its this game and the graphics the 360 can push y I considering getting 1

If I had a 360, I would probably ruin my life playing Halo nonstop.
