ZEGAPAIN

I recently finished watching this anime and was really pleased from what i saw.To start it off this is 1 of those mecha/science fiction/drama anime's with a painful storyline which got gets depressing and sad most of the time and raises questions about our existence. The anime isn't that much on the action side being that the storyline focuses more towards the drama side.Its about a young boy named Sogoru Kyo who is some what forced to pilot a mech called Zegapain and save the world.It entails the human drama between people who fight for an almost impossible dream, to break themselves out of a world that constantly rewinds itself, a world that is considered to be “Immortal”.Kyo soon learns that the world he is now living in is an artificial world which is stored on a quantum server and that the real world is in shambles and human kind has been destroyed.Kyo then becomes confused over which world is real and which world is fake.Like most of the anime's i watch now a days,the first few episodes aren't really all that good but things start to pick up the
pace soon afterwards.
The story gets more in depth midway in when it starts focusing on the truth about earth and revealing the secrets of what happened.
Audio
I honestly have to say the opening and ending songs for Zegapain are some of the best music ive ever heard in an anime.The music sets the tone for the anime which opens and ends this anime beautifully i think.The music and sounds throughout the whole series was very good seeing that all sounds were in sync with the action and the music enhancing the feeling of the anime.I think the voice acting was outstanding which raises ma overall score for the sound area.Overall i think in the sound department for this anime gets a 10/10.really good stuff.
Visual Art
The character designs werent all that bad,they seemed typical to the character design of any anime nowadays.The mech design also wasn't anything to be wowed about either.I honestly think that thet could have done a better work on the mech design.The downer on this department is that i saw a few recycled material during some of the mech action scenes which i really didn't like but which was overlooked.Overall the animation wasn't all that bad but at the same time it wasn't all that good.I give the visual department a 7/10.
Characters
I think this is where most of the work went in for this anime.The character development was well though out.After watching a few eps u can see that in depth work was done in this department so as to bring out the drama and sadness during some aspects of the show.I really loved
the character layout and how they went in depth with most characters.Just to point out, outstanding work was dun on the character Kaminagi Ryoko.she is kyo's girl friend.The plot revolving around her was awesome and well written.Overall the characters get a 9/10.
Overall i give this whole anime series a 9/10.I highly recommend it to all anime synergy members.Its a decent anime which i think you all would enjoy.
