GUN X SWORD

A Future timeline anime that kinds of bares a western theme in a world called the planet of illusions. The story is centered around a mans journey for revenge and a girls journey to rescue her older brother. Both main characters share the common one enemy "the claw man", Who for his dream of a better world have wronged and hurt so many people. The story unfolds showing the claw man other wise called the comrade to his followers leading a group called the original seven who each pilot the strongests armors on the planet of illusion. The armors are all docked in space stations and are summoned with special weapons which acts as key's to the armors.
Story
Gunxswords story though not innovative or unique it was still enough to keep the me interested, the story progress's at a tolerable pace, there are rarely any filler in the 26 episode series, which is commendable. The flaw with gunxsword {mosgoogle left} was the cliche's it was sort of a mix between trigun and cowboy bebop differing only by the fact that van pilots a mech called dann (van and dann :rofl).
Character Development
For a short anime the Character development was pretty good, there is enough time spent with the core characters to let you choose who you wanna love, hate, like, is really annoying and so on.
Van - The protagonist of the story and a cliche anime character but still a likable character, tough guy on the outside, determined, doesn't really care about anything that opposes hsi dream of vengence
Wendy - A really annoying character but this could probably be due to her age (she's reffered to kid alot). So some of her actions and behaviours were understandable/acceptable
Carmen 99 - Has the job of a spy for some organization that was never really metioned, and is the anime's Very Sexy full of curves hot chick who up until the final episodes she just popped in and out of the anime. and there was an episoded dedicated to her past where she had to visit her hometown, this kind of opened up her character a little bit and allowed for a deeper understanding of carmen
Team eldorado - a group of old men from a little town who always ramble about their days of being armor (mech) pilots, and are thought to be nothing more than ramblers till they actually had to use the mech, which is a rip off of the powerreangers by the way, 5 small robots which combine together to form the very loud colored (orange,purple etc) eldora soul
Yukiko - A young woman from the town which is protected by the eldorado five. She decides to go along with team eldora and ultimately became apart of the group traveling with dann. not much of a point but Yukiko was the only female that wasn't attracted to van.
Ray - Another character who is on a journey or vengence towards the claw man, for taking away his bride. He pilots an armor called bolkain/Volcan which was made by his wife, bulkain honestly will seem like a rip form gundam, a combination of 3 souts, a basic militia gouf, with heavy arms weaponry and death scythe apparell.
Joshua - Ray's younger brother who wishes to stop ray from his path of vengance, a very smart young man who knows more about the armors than anybody else in the entire group. Joshua bailed the team out of tight spots many times with his ingenious plans.
Pricilla - An amor arena warrior, who fought to support her family, she inherited her amor brownie from her mother, the armors combat abilities lies in its speed, she's able to combat against van using dann while actually trying to fight.
The Original Seven - The group of people who pilot the original seven armors that were created what watched over the prison planet. these armors where actually earth made armors which were later adopted by the planet of illusion. the original seven armors are as follows
Saudade of sunday piloted by Wendy's kidnapped brother micheal Garret
Diablo of munday piloted by Gadveld
Metsa of tuesday piloted by William Will Wuu
Dahlia of wednsday piloted by Fasalina
Dann of thursday piloted by Van (note Van is not apart of the comrades group and is reffered to as the absent member)
Sin of friday piloted by Corossa
Sen of saturday piloted by Melissa
Sound
The in anime music isn't the greatest, but enjoyable, the starting theme is probably the best thing this anime has, combined with the ever changing visual that is presented, the theme gets a 2 thumbs up. Dann's summoning theme is also well a well made instrumental.
Value
Gunxsword just like trigun and cowboy bebop has a high rewatch value in my oppinion, there are jokes, there's action there are giant robots and hot chicks o.O and the story is very fluid.
Conclusion
Gun X sword is a very entertaininig anime. Has a high rewatch vlaue and a great ending. The ending of this anime definatly doesn't leave you wanting more, doesn't leave you in a really bad mood, your not unhappy, everything is resolved there is no loose ends whats so ever.
