Higlander the animated movie was quite entertaining.. Delivered action, A small hint of romance and a smidget humor (if there's such a word). The film however lacked a lot in my humble opinion.
The Video and Animation Left much to be desired. The drawing style wasn't favoured by me but I quickly adapted. The fight animations could have been way better as well. Most of the fights that counted were shown from a first person perspective which.. really took a bit from the fight in my eye.
Sound for the highlander animated movie was just okay. The music for the time lines was fairly done, the irish bag pipes etc.. But the battling music wasn't great and didn't add much of an extra umph so to speak to the fight scenes.
Re-Watch value is certainly low.. Technically You know this story already if you've seen the highlander movies / television series. The changes made to the anime isn't enough to make you wanna think about watching it again.
Character Development Was done well but only in regard to the two immortals of the story being Connor Macleod and Marcus of Rome. The visit each time line where Marcus and Connor battle for a basic synopsis of whats been taking place ever since the two firsts battled.
The feature was fairly entertaining, As i managed to watch it from start to end without being easily distracted. I was also quite interested in the final fight based on the results of all of the flashbacks between the Story's protagonist and antagonist. Connor Macleod and Marcus respectively.
The overall story Is faily simplistic. Nothing to give your mind work to do. It is very straight forward and you just get to see it unfold. The fiction of immortals are interesting but not original relative to anime's.
