Underworld Evolution opens in January, judging by the trailer i'd say it's gonna b a better movie than the orig, but u know how trailers work

OMFG that mean the second one is awaken right. the second half vampire half lyken is awake. Ahh man this movie should be awsome, I loved that girl as well. She did very well in van Hellsing as well. Yer she's hot. Marcus is looking super crazy wings and all. too bad the dood fromt he first one [ first half lyken/vampire ] doesn't have wings. And marcus is similar to another certain vampire in a certain cool video game.. blood omen.. yep i speakof the great kaine and his legacy.

I cant say im really thrilled about this. The first one had a good concept and added a twist to the usual vampire's and warewolves storyline, but the way it was brought out sucked heavily. If its gonna be directed by the same person, i think i can miss it

Yo be fair which other vamp/ wolve movie has ever taken a story like this has. In its elements underworld was very different from the previous vamp movies and wolves movies. the only thing that i'm not so happy about with the new story line is marcus being the first vampire bla bla blah. this sorta makes me feel like i'm watching blade with dracula and his lame armor onlything marcus is a half liken/vamp and has wings probably because he was vamp before liken blood got in him as compared to the kid who was liken before vamp blood got in him.

yo, thats a huge flaw, they have the flick being adverted with marcus as the first vamp and the most powerful vamp i think, maybe is as you saying a flash back on victor saying he was the first vamp. :dunno

Ok the movie wasnt that bad... I was still dissapointed becuz the director of the first movie simply just sucked anal cavities.
And to clean up what somebody said, alexander corvinus didnt have a vampire and a lycan child. He had twin sons, one bitten by wolf, the other by bat and they therefore became the first werewolf and the first vampire.
Every scene you see with victor is of course a flashback. You learn why he became a vampire etc etc
Marcus was tuff, but i didnt see the werewolf side of him, im wondering if he could actually take on werewolf powers in the first place.

I did have a problem in how the hell michael could whoop the first lycans ass if he hasnt had any blood to drink though. Throughout the entire movie he has only taken 1 drink and that was from the girl there, so how

and also if this bredda lock up for how much centuries (william... the first lycan ie) how come him still so strong, are you saying to me that lycans dont have to eat? they can still remain super powerful even without eating? And also why couldnt they make the end more exciting, let us actually see william's human form, let us see everybody fully powered in an all out beat down. This bredda trapped for centuries in a blasted tomb with barely enough space to piss in and as soon as the door open, him ready fi tek on the whoole world again. @DK i never exactly said that the concept of the first movie was crappy. I really really enjoyed the concept of the movie, the werewolfs being the slaves who turned against their master. The anomaly of nature being the immortal who had two sons who became violent mofo's through animals, the ability to be able to become a vampwolf or a werepire.
BUT
the director of the first movie shouldve simply been shot and killed for killing what could've been one of the most unique vampire stories ever made (except for the guys that came up with the vampire werewolf idea first)

Oh and the last fight could've been better.

I don't see what is everyone's problem. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The Lycans were not the feature for part 2. They were already all but exterminated in the first movie. It was all about a reorganization of the Vampires.


I thought it was an excellent movie. The hybrid is the pwner.

Well you have to also remember that the lycans in the first movie were the advanced ones that could think properly and change back to human form while these were just wild uncontrolable beast.
Truth be told all though alot of things were jus messed up in the sense of lacking logic. As much as is possible that is. Everything was perfectly reasoned out.
I mean Willian was just a raving beast, end of story a very big dog with Rabis. And yah locked up for 500 years in a half sardine tin I still can't get over that one.

How can the first (and im assuming because of this the most powerful) werewolf lose to a guy that was just revived and still had not feed on any blood for the entire movie...

I gotta agree with omega on the fact of vampiric beings. being bitten by a bat and a wolf. really they left the father of all vampires out of it count dracula himself. they should have kept true to the story of vampires. dracula 2000' i think gave a marvelous explanation to how dracula came into being. and then he spread his inhuman attributes like a plague onto the children of god remaking the wold in his own image as the new god all out of hadred for God himself.. dracula was non other than judas. the explanation for why he couldn't die was God made him suffer for all eternity for betraying Jesus. why he hated silver was because he was paid with gold and silver why he hated the cross was becasue he saw jesus on the cross and the reason for this was his betrayal. he tried to comit suicide he couldn't die.. it was by far the most logical explanation of how vampires came about i had ever seen.

you mean garlic. that i'm really not 100% sure about. as i said, its by far the most logical explanation didn't say it was full proof but its the closest we've gotten so far... underworld is way too flawed. we got no background detail on the father of the corvinus twins either. we have no clue why he was immortal it was extremely annoying to me, not knowing why.
