Yokoso!!! :welcome1:

Thank you for taking the time out to register and join our forum, and we hope you have a great experience posting in the threads, making new friends with the other members, and being a part of our online family.

To start your experience, we ask that you start a New Thread here in the Noob Section, and feel free to tell us about yourself, like for instance your age, gender, Favourite Animes, Mangas, or anything about yourself that you feel like sharing.

After 2 weeks your thread will be closed, so any discussions can either be continued in a New Thread, where necessary, or using Private Messages.

And feel free to ask the mods or older members any questions you have about using the site, or you can go to the FAQ (http://www.animesynergy.com/forum/faq.php) and get yourself familiarized with the forum.

So have fun, post nuff, be nice, follow the rules, and dont annoy the mods (mainly me :dontmakeme:). :D

PS... and if any of the mods or admin feel that you are a potential spammer/post-whore, who is only trying to get to the Gallery, then we will not hesitate to ban you for AT LEAST 24 hours, and you will not be allowed to get access to the Gallery.

ONE LINE POSTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY THREAD AUTOMATICALLY AND IMMEDIATELY UNLESS IT GIVES GOOD INFORMATION.

Thank you.

3. Any noob thread that only consists of ONE line, will be deleted.
EG. "Hi, Im new. How you all doing? Just thought Id say hi!"

We ask that noobs give a proper introduction about themselves, for example, what animes you like, why you like anime, why you joined the site, how you found out about the site, etc.

DO NOT ask members to state their favourite animes or top animes unless you also give your top/favourite animes.

Thank you.

Let's try and enlighten you. See here for a few definitions (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=post+whore). After you've seen those, let's see what we could define it as from the standpoint of this forum. I would say that a "PostWhore" is someone who posts in a meaningless manner in order to get his/her post count to the required number in order to view the gallery. That is the general definition by this forum.

If you check the posts made by most of the members, you will realize that the information placed there are either valid questions, comments on previous posts (more than 20 characters or words would be nice), informative, and threads started are usually meaningful. I will use myself as an example.

Clicking here or on the link above will take you to all threads started by me. (http://www.animesynergy.com/forum/search.php?do=finduser&u=264&starteronly=1) As you can see - if you bothered to read any of them - whatever threads I've started have either information for everyone to be edified by, or questions or discussions raised for everyone to participate. If you look at my intro in the n00b section (http://www.animesynergy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=841) you'll see that it's not some lame one-liner and gives some basic info about myself and information relevant to the forum - ANIME. The forum is an ANIME BASED FORUM. Coming in and deciding that you're not going to participate just to view the hentai section of the forum is LAME and disrespectful to the other members. We're here to learn more about the Japanese culture, more about anime, and to help others by trading information on anime (and sometimes other stuff when you get to know the person/s) and in general, assist others to build their collections. The hentai section is NOT the primary focus of this forum. If you're one of those lame kids who wants to find porno pics of anime, game or cartoons, use your search engine. Here - let me help your perverted tendencies by providing you with a link to what you need. (http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=free+anime+hentai+cartoon&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8) If that's your purpose then go, and let us know so we can delete your accounts.

This is turning out to be more of a rant than a post, but it's all good. I hope whoever decides to come into this thread about "privileges" will see and actually read before they go to their cache of K-Y Jelly. Sheesh. Makes me sick to know that all you want to do is leech off the site and not contribute.

Self-righteous? Maybe. I will admit that I do leech off sites, but if I realize that there's a limit on getting stuff I don't go joining in order to cry to the persons there about not being able to pressure their server to fill whatever desires I have. I have over 2GB of anime wallpapers, and I didn't go crying to whoever in whatever forum or site about their limitations to 5 downloads per day or whatnot - I took my time and followed the rules. The rule here is simple - you need MEANINGFUL posts that are validated by admins and/or members as such. If you have no intention of doing so, don't bother join. If you've already joined you can make an attempt at doing something constructive with your bandwidth, or just shut up and deal with it.

On a lighter note, for those of you who are actually going to try and make something of your account at the forum, please feel free to do so. Have fun, and participate in any section you feel comfortable in.
