Anyone else here play mugen? for those who dont its a 2D comp fighter where ppl create characters and other content for it, Its got a pretty big community and you can find pretty much any character if you look hard enough or have the right connections, it also really easy to create content for. Anyone intrested in getting it google it and look in the wikipedia page link section.

Yeah, I played it about 5 years ago. Broli from Dragon Ball Z was one of the strongest characters I ever found for it (but then again you could edit their strength :)

Yeah, I was pretty taken with that. I did everything I could to get my hands on characters, especially the ones labeled "unrequestable." I like to think I assembled an impressive roster. Not so much on the stages side, though. Here's what my select screen looks like:

Not bad was playing this game recently. Mugen Eve edition. Pretty good stuff.. Even had guilty gear characters which were extremely hard to find. the cooked street fighter characters are dangerous man. namely shin akuma.

Anyway, I have 2 separate installs of the game. One has my "normal" characters, and one has the nude edits I've managed to find of female characters.

I use Dos Mugen since it's less buggy than WinMugen and, having tried Windows systems beyond 98, I've become convinced that they're less about new features & improved functionality, and more about restricting access to older programs to force you to buy the new stuff, so I don't think I'll be upgrading my operating system until there's not even a copy on eBay.

Still, I get messages saying that some characters don't work in Mugen, so I usually point them to a program called Dos2Win (http://rapidshare.com/files/36306436/dos2win02.zip), which converts Dos Mugen characters to work in Win Mugen, but not the other way around >_<

I was very big in it... In my day Evil Sakura, and a proper Cyclops were hard characters to find and the Capcom VS SNK Pro for PSX wasnt out yet so we were stuck with "SNK Ryu/Ken" based off Ryo.. Dark Chunli Pwnd all including Evil Ryu & Ken.... Ahh memories But the two player sucked balls tryin to share a keyboard and the moves wouldnt work properly in either... I eventually got sick & tired and got rid of it

Back in my day Mugen Development Forum used to run shit!!!!!!!!!! All the real character developers put there characters on that site
