lol...well i'll be the messenger. u have to be given access to the gallery by the mods. the 20 post thing don't work. so ur best option is to be a good user and contribute to the community by posting decent posts. i'm sure there is a section for the rules, i just don't know where it is.
a good thing to do is to start off with an introduction of urself.

Hero tales seems good. for action / shounen type, Bamboo blade is funny, shakugan no shana is fairly cool. Gundam 00 is good if your a mech fan and there are tuns more just search around the forum.

nah.. you haven't wasted anybody's time. I dont have anyproblem helping anybody with anime. Hellsing, i never completed (embarrased).. only saw 3 eps but it was excellent from what i saw so far. Um a few definite recommendation i will throw at you is full metal alchemist, 12 kingdoms, Gun X sword, (http://www.animesynergy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2291) Black lagoon (awesome) (http://www.animesynergy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2387), Zega Pain (http://www.animesynergy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2289)

12 kingdoms might be a difficult anime for someone who just beginning to watch..well thats just my opinion still. FMA is a good one and maybe even Death Note
