I've noticed that the threads I have started all sort of died. I tend to not talk much about things I don't know/understand or don't care for. Hence this makes me look like a person who isn't posting. Truthfully, I haven't had a lot of time for anything starting at a new college a few weeks ago, but I check back as often as I can. I don't want to restart conversations that I already had cause they just take up space. I have read a few mangas recently but have already started conversations about those which also died. Any suggestions?

Im not quite understanding... died? As in your threads were closed? Or you mean no replies?

I thikn its because majority of the regular members are also in school and/or working, so things tend to slow down certain times of the year.

So unless its regular things like Naruto and Bleach, most members arent able to diverge to other stuff.

try gaming, when i start threads or posts on gaming i get great results being a gamer and designer myself

and i know how it feels not to get replies on posts
try to make your headings/headlines more interesting to catch people's attention

Or if you want to attract people that are easily intertained, put one of the smily face things in the header... They are easily noticed and colorful, so my ADD kicks in, some other people might be like that.

Yeah essentially what i meant was when people stop replying or don't reply at all. It's sort of difficult to have a discussion with myself. Thanks for the help. I'll just keep checking back and add whenever I see something that interests me.
