It's looking good ever since ATI was absorbed into AMD. Things seem to be looking up for the only competition that nVidia has....

As said by another friend - the competition is good. It means that the price of the high end cards will keep going down if competition is there. It also means new cards will be made. Looking forward to nVidia's 9 series cards.

It'll be time to upgrade my notebook soon. I have grahics card at the core of the move. I wanna ensure that when i upgrade when i insstall my fresh copy of hardy herron (next ubuntu distribution) my xgl compiz desktop environment will just work out the box.. (3d desktop environment). currently i have an ati x1300 hypermemory pci exxpress card which isn't that great at all. dedicated memory to the card is about 64.
