So today i was driving with my old man and i was thinking hmm if i should be driving and i hit someone say a few feet away from a pedestrian crossing. right and they stay in contact with the car untill i get to the pedestrian crossing. and they land on the pedestrian crossing while still in contact with the car??? technically i hit someone who was crossing the street @ a pedestrian crossing right? what do you think could happen if htey had a really good lawyer.

Safe to say you and your old man would be going to prison. You would be in prison for sure and your old man may get sued. Firstly, you hit a pedestrian. It doesn't matter where you hit them.

Second you continued to drag them along- easily viewed as attempted murder. Worst part is the pedestrian crossing. If your old man runs fast enough he could escape being fined but there is no hope for you... only if you had a learner's.

I think u need to include a bit more details such as your current speed and your attention to the road. Lets face it, if your driving at 50 km then the car's reaction time (brake) will almost be immediate; if u were speeding, well u salt, man slaughter charges may apply. If u were paying attention to the road and surroudings then u could predict what can happen. I'm not making this a general statement for all drivers but only from personal experience as a driver. Dk you should know that i come across a lot of idiots on the road. However, based on what your saying i dont think u should have a problem.
