this discussion is a very late, buy both. or just get an xbox and mod it. most games on the ps2 are on the xbox and u can play old emulated games on it as well as arcade games. u can also watch ur anime on it, or ur bootleg movies, u dont need to convert them to dvd format

u would be able to play games that are on x-box which are on ps2 not ps2 games..
