I stopped watching simply on principle. My team has lost so therefore i see no other reason why i should have watched. I did watch the final however, but couldnt care less about who won.

The only match where i will honestly say brazil did play horribly was in their quarter final against france. I dont think they played that terribly before then. Ghana put up a fight but in the end experience won it and the whole of the first round was excellent.

The thing i think people always forget when a younger team plays against a team like brazil (world cup records, rank etc etc) they have nothing to lose. So they will playe extremely well. Brazil on the other hand under pressure cause they cant afford to lose to a team who dont even know how the world cup look up close. That gives the underdog a psychological advantage and is the reason why msot of the teams playing against brazil (especially in the first round) were playing so good.

A keen watcher would've realized that the quality of football played against brazil was never shown when the teams played other teams of equal stature. The one team which you can say played horribly is the ones who reached the finals and that was france. France did not even look like they knew the time of day before the quarter finals and then after that they finally started playing.

But as i said to my friends before, 1986 has repeated itself (well except for the penalty shootout) and france has beaten Brazil in the quarters.

Brazil waste everybody time. the only thing is that the rest of teams they played didn't have what it takes to beat them

Actually the other teams did have wat it takes to beat brazil, but what they dont have is the experience of entering and winning the world cup before. That experience really made a difference. Most of them probably get nervous wen dem realize dem goin score and therefore not score at all (Ghana, Austrailia, Croatia [well them to a lesser extent])

And some of them probably scored and got complacent or comfortable knowing they scored against brazil (Japan) and inevitably failed because they are playing against an attacking squad of massive proportions. France beat Brazil because France knows what the world cup is about, they know how it feels to win (well alot of the team members do) and that makes a hell of a difference.

Thats why i'm willing to bet that for a really long time (probably the next 15 years) no team will win the world cup that has never won it before. Meaning, the current champion's will reign for the next 15 years (or 3 world cups). The experience of the veterans will prove powerful, but it will happen though.

Japan to me was always going to get mauled...i figured that that game would've been Brazils break out game. to some extent it was but them still never ready
