Naruto is still a genin you realized that right. i mean. everybody else is as well. the only person that moved up in the ranks was shikamaru.. are you telling me that nobody matured enough during tha ttime to be a chuunin, has there been no more exams. thats kinda odd, sorta like that whole ceremony died with the third hokage, sarutobi.

well naruto is the only one who hasn't moved up..both he and Sasuke cause the weren't there for the exam.
remember when Naruto came back Shikamaru was walking with Temari and saying something about the next chuunin exam. basically all those from Naruto's year group are now Chuunins except for Neji, Temari, Konkaru who are now Jounins and Gaara who is the sand's kage.

Neji did in fact deserve to fail. I mean think about it, him almost kill hinata just because him a carry this grudge for the main house. Remember the jounin chick found out that he had in fact intended to kill his own comrade (hinata) all becuz him did grudgeful. Personally i wouldn't have allowed him to become a chuunin based on that alone. That means that if him dont like somebody in his team him will mek them dead (remember chuunins were the military captains)

but there had to be a chuunin exam since that, and neji is a changed man.. thing is remember kiba fell out from early and if he's a chuunin that means he took another test, neji with his new found "heart" so to speak would probably fight fairly so i dont getwhy he's still a genin.
