Anime should not be sold IMO unless you are getting the originals. As an anime lover, I'm listing what I have for trade. We all being in JA (I think?) it's not too much of a problem for us to get to each other. PM me or contact via messenger(s) for details. The TXT file attached has basically the same info. Laterz.

DUE TO THE LOANING OUT OF DISKS AND THE AGE OF SOME, THERE MAY BE A FEW SINGLE EPISODES AND/OR MOVIES THAT ARE UNREADABLE FROM THEIR BACKUP DISKS. I AM ATTEMPTING TO RETRIEVE THESE, SO PLEASE ASK ABOUT THEM BEFOREHAND. AS A RESULT, ANY ANIME LISTED THAT YOU NEED, PLEASE EITHER PROVIDE THE NEEDED DVD BLANKS OR A HARD DISK FOR THEM TO BE COPIED.

THE OLDER ANIME LISTED ARE USUALLY IN AVI FORMAT WITH SUBTITLES. NEWER ONES (OR REDO OF OLDER ONES) ARE IN OGM/MKV DUAL AUDIO UNLESS IT COULD NOT BE HELPED.

TERMS OF TRADING ANIME ARE NEGOTIABLE AS FOLLOWS:

Just let me know how many DVD's would be needed and I'll let you know when we can arrange it. I'll probably give you the blanks to do it, unless you have good quality blanks, then I'll ask U to do it and buy them back for you. We'll talk about it. Probably next month end.

what's da rage over escoflowne? what u need to get is the zoids series ( i think they have like 3 different series get them all). and the dual series ( short but kool is like 13 eps.)

Speaking with FREEDOM, and hopefully will establish a full distro of anime to everyone. This way nobody will waste time/bandwidth to get stuff that someone else already has. (Unless the quality of the downloaded item will be better, or just for personal preference).

This is the proposed proposal - With Person A and Person B, and a few simulated scenarios to see if they can work.

1.
--
A has something, and B wants it. B has nothing that A wants. A informs B that what he wants needs 5 DVD+/-R disks. B then provides A with 10 DVD blanks - 5 for his own things, and the rest stay with A for whatever purpose he wants (basically as "payment"). Considering that A will be using his time, resources and wear-and-tear on equipment (burner) I say it's only fair.

2.
--
A has something, and B wants it. B has something that A wants also. They both cover the cost of burning what the other wants. Exceptions are only applicable if the two parties cannot agree to do this, or if one believes compensation (in blanks) are needed due to the fact that what the other wants is more than what they want (Chobits = 1DVD vs Kenshin = 5DVD's). In this case, the terms are dependent on those involved, and cannot be interfered with by others.

3.
--
A has something and B wants it. A decided to let B have what he wants at no charge whatever (maybe just purchased a 100 spindle of DVD's and can spare one or two for a short anime that B wants).

So, let's see how things turn out. Any suggestions welcome.

I get them from newegg .... u have the printable ones (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817172113) and the regular silver ones (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817172111).
Right now I may be the only one one here that buys TY although maybe Profound does also. Recently Ridata has given me more bang for buck so i've just bout them last month. All in all with shipping and what now I guess u can say it cost not more than JA $3000 ...
I will rather take the price hit ... i HATE it when i archive things then go back to the DVD/CRC and CRC errors. I hope a CERTAIN someone who was at trading day is getting the hint :p

I've used over 300 of them, whatever's spoiled is because of me (cancel because UPS going to go out, I just love JPS in Mandeville). If you can get actual TY for JA$3000, then I need to check it out, because it would be good to get them. The ones that I'm using currently I use for anime and game backups, and no complains thus far. If I can get my hands on the TY then all the better, if not, then you're going to have to sell them to us. We'll pay JA$3000 - JA$3500 for 100 (but not much more........) If you can retail them it would be good. If you know somewhere that can, even better. I'll be checking if my contact can get them..........if they can be had cheaper as well I'll let U know. PeAcE.

Use DVD IDENTIFIER to check the validity and quality of the blanks you're using. Granted personal experience with a product is better than overall ratings (in the case of TY it's a proven point), so what works for one may not work for the other.

Well the TY's were US $25 for 50. Ive been telling pple about DVD quality (http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm) but i think it may fall upon some deaf ears.

OK, here's the suggestion. Someone (me?) will start another thread with just list alone. It will contain a ZIP/RAR/TEXT/WHATEVER file with the list. You update that post, that way we don't have double posting and such, and use up the server space. Need FREEDOM or any other moderator to ensure that we keep the files in the right place. Maybe rename this thread to ANIME LIST DISCUSSION or something.......

lol... k den.. i not sure if i should add this to the list just yet but i also have samurai showdown(the movie)..kinda bloody like ninja scroll, rmv format but down side less than good video quality (not poor though) and it is dubbed in japanese and subbed in what i think is pourtugese wtf??!! if anyone out there has a better quality and one which is either english subbed or dubbed holla at me.:D :D

I'm probbaly going to get them for her. We *almost* met today, but she was afraid I'd take her away and ravish her lol. One of you guys who know her come and accompany her next week wednesday (30/8/06) for us to link up in the New Kingston area (head office is there, mandatory that I make that trip).

@Shini: But yea, I probably wont have the full Sailor Moon series by then (37GB) but there was one in particular that you wanted. Remind me which it is and I'll focus on that for this week. Prolly have it by weekend in AVI (because U're comfortable with that) and maybe in MKV/OGM if I'm lucky and find them like that first.

Well, it's a scheduled date ppl. I'm going to be in the IBM building on Knutsford next week wednesday for the majority of the day. As long as you can spend some time in the lobby, have a laptop or such, or we can meet during lunch hours, we can go copy or trade around what we have. Let me know how it is.

Folks, SHINI has the bulk of my collection at this point (not in direct posession atm, but she can get them). My collection is in Kingston. Check with her for them. Leave the agreed # of blanks (if what you want is 2 DVD's leave 2, if what you want is 10, leave 10 etc). # of blanks to leave and what to trade are negotiable, so make sure U link us here!!! She and I will split them for ourselves as tradeoff. If you have something that I want tho, leave that instead of the blanks. Hoping to hear back from some of y'all. Lataz.

Erm... the fact is not many of us have those epis in rm. :/ Sorry guy, but once them on dvd, it shouldnt be a prob for your HD space, right?

Cause me know we had those epis on Trading day, but more likely they were in avi.

no i don't want e'm in rm format avi is fine is just dat i'll only have enough space for 3 or so full series cause i runnin on a 40 gig right now :( :( ... and is as of lately i start with the rm ting just for me to watch e'm and den delete but for archiving purposes avi all da way timeles just blowin it out of proportion :mad: ........

TENCHI IN TOKYO and TENCHI UNIVERSE are on my list now. I talked to the guys who ripped/subbed TENCHI IN TOKYO and they are currently doing it over in MKV. As was said in another thread, most of the ripping/subbing groups (of completed anime) are going MKV. TENCHI IN TOKYO was origianlly in OGM. Incomplete anime such as NARUTO and BLEACH don't get that privilage, because it is tedious to do in the first place. Hope this and the other threads about video quality and such will enlighten us on which formats to look for. If you can't find it otherwise, I guess there's not much of a choice tho.

On a sucky 1MB CWJ connection till FLOW gets to Mandeville. My bandwidth is primarily for downloading and seeding anime. I hardly do anything else. Computer is never turned off unless UPS soon dead. Always downloading anime. Currently seeding alone tho, because I need the ratio up and then I can delete them after burning off. Running out of hard drive space. Hope to get the trading done, and get some blanks so I can get some space and have more anime to go around.

Shini - It's in my list. You have it. You also should have my spindle in town. Go get it from SliqLinux (not yet a member). You need to look thru the list, and remember that I've left my spindle there for a week now. I coming for it tomorrow.

And drama is nice. Hotaru No Haka was good (and the movie too, which I have ;)). Chobits / Love Hina / DearS. Granted I've not seen DearS yet, but will soon enough. Ecchi and Drama are nice. You guys need to get into it some more. DBZ and such are ok, but something with a little of everything (Rurouni Kenshin anyone?) is good. And some stuff with primarily lovey-dovey stuff works every now and again. Get into it. Broaden your scope of anime.

@ FREEDOM - Thanx 4 the update. It makes it easier to upload the XLS and TXT instead of having to ZIP it before uploading.

@ SPADEZ - After you've uploaded again, I will peruse and tell U what I want. I do want the REBOOT tho, and maybe some other stuff.

well i actually been gettin some new anime series daily.download speed running really fast :) i get a new series each day so ill keep u up to date on the new ones ive got.by the end of the week i should b getting 3mb connection so crazy anime downloads :) only thing i need to worry about is hard drive space :( an right now im almost out of dvds :(

Met up with SHINI today and SLIQLINUX. I gave SLIQ the language lessons I have (updated) and traded around some anime with SHINI. Firstly, many thanks to SHINI for assisting me to build what anime I have to a larger collection. And yea, your collection does pwn mine, but it's primarily because I'm picky. I like my anime in OGM/MKV, and the ones I have in AVI are either because I've had them before knowing of OGM/MKV or I couldn't find them in anything else than AVI. Some others (DB/Z/GT) that I have in RM/RMVB is primarily because I just want it for watching purposes, and not for collection/archiving. So yea, thanx a lot SHINI, and I'll be posting my new and expanded list soon enough.

FREEDOM/BLINDZ, check with SLIQLINUX, as he has a backup of most of my anime, so check with him for that.

Which is why there is nothing in my collection that you actually want or like. I'm a collector, but I don't want the unfinished stuff. That and the fact that I like OGM/MKV. Anyways, it's not the quantity you have, and don't think of it as "making other people's collections bigger", think of it as "having offsite backups". Hopefully we can all get some much bigger hard drives and get everything that we want. My other 400GB should be coming soon (I hope) so then I can finish the copying and get to more downloading.

Going to focus mostly on TENCHI now, since SHINI gave me her collection and some of what I wanted is in there, so that should quell the hunger for a while.

SHINI's collection has some good OGM/MKV/MP4 vids, but there are a few AVI that could be found as MKV/OGM/MP4 if a lot of extra searching was done.

@ SHINI - Nice sig.

Maybe you need to read up on torrents again? If it's torrents you're using..........Remember that if your share ratio not so hot, your transfers wont be too hot either (if there are enough sources). Also remember that the number of sources play a vital role as well.
